01What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Path-iQ uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (pathiq.cloud and related subdomains), the Path-iQ web application, and the in-app web views used by the iOS and Android apps. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
"Cookies" here means small text files stored on your device by your browser. "Similar technologies" includes local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, device identifiers, and mobile SDK identifiers that perform an equivalent function.
02Categories we use
We group cookies and identifiers into three categories:
- Strictly necessary. Required for the platform to function — authentication, session management, security, load balancing, and remembering input on multi-step forms. These cannot be turned off without breaking core functionality.
- Functional. Remember your preferences — interface language, panel layout, last-used study, accessibility settings. Removing these will not break the platform but will reset your preferences each session.
- Analytics. Help us understand aggregate usage — which features are used, where errors happen, how the platform performs across regions. Analytics is collected in an aggregated form and is not used to build advertising profiles. Where required by law, analytics cookies are set only after consent.
We do not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or cross-site identifiers on Path-iQ properties.
03Cookie inventory
The list below is representative; the exact cookies set on any given page may vary as we improve the platform. Category and retention are shown alongside each name.

The Path-iQ mobile apps do not set browser cookies directly, but use equivalent technologies to keep you signed in and the app working:
- Secure token storage. Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. These are device-bound and protected by the operating system.
- Local app storage. Preferences (language, layout, accessibility) and small cached responses are stored in the app's private sandbox.
- Push notification identifier. If you enable notifications, an APNs (iOS) or FCM (Android) token is stored so we can deliver alerts. See the mobile section of the Privacy Policy.
- Crash and diagnostic identifiers. A random per-install identifier is used to correlate crash reports. It is not linked to your account unless you submit a support request with the identifier.
- In-app web views. Certain pages (this one included) may be rendered inside the app via an in-app browser. When that happens the same strictly-necessary and functional cookies described above may be set within the web view's storage; they are isolated from your system browser.
The apps do not use Apple's IDFA, do not use the Google Advertising ID, and do not integrate any advertising or attribution SDK.
05Third parties
A small number of trusted sub-processors set or receive identifiers in the course of providing the Path-iQ Services. These are listed in the Sub-processors section of our Privacy Policy. Examples include our cloud infrastructure provider (for hosting and protection against attacks), our crash-monitoring provider (for stability), and the push notification providers operated by Apple and Google. None of these is permitted to use the data for advertising.
06Your choices
- Consent. Where required by law, our cookie banner asks for consent before non-essential (functional and analytics) cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer.
- Browser controls. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the platform from working.
- Mobile controls. You can revoke push permissions in your operating system settings; you can reset advertising identifiers under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (though, as noted, we do not use these identifiers).
- Do Not Track / GPC. The Path-iQ web platform respects Global Privacy Control signals where applicable law gives them effect, and treats them as a request to disable non-essential analytics.
07Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies or identifiers we use. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted in the platform or by email to administrators.
